So Thankful for A Million Little Things
One of my dearest friends gave me a little sign that states, "Our friendship isn't a big thing, its a million little things.
I see the sign every morning when I sit down with the Lord, it is on my desk facing the chair I sit in. Over the last several months the Lord has been calling me to discover a true friendship with Him. This sign is just now in this moment resonating with me.
All is On the Line
Dear Friend and Sister in Christ:
This is an open letter to the one who wrote a word from the Lord and left it in my cup at the beach retreat. It has taken me quite some time to read this note again. The note said, Allyson- I heard the Lord say "all is on the line".Â
Against the Grain-Not Just Business as Usual
Truths about me
- I am an only child and have had a difficult time learning how to share
- As an only child I developed a habit of self reliance
- As a business owner my stance has been, know my competition but stay in my own lane
The problem with these truths is that it has caused the platform, that God has blessed our business with, to be self focused. With focus on self the spiritual problem of self sufficiency can grow.
Catching Time in a Fishing Net
I was talking with Rick and sharing how I felt I had wasted all this time not fully surrendered to God. Time wasted seeking worldly solutions for spiritual needs instead of seeking to know more of the Lord. I was expressing my eagerness just to know what next step God has for me. You know, let's just get on with it, Lord, I am here! Send Me! moment.
And then Rick shared a story his aunt had recently told him.
Torn Apart to be Mended
I had been wandering around. The line in the hymn, Oh Come thou fount of Many Blessings, "bind my wandering heart to thee" comes to mind now and often as of late. How many times have I strayed, wandered? In the present I am seeking. Praying Lord order my steps.
No "Self Clean" Cycle with God- Burning off the Dross
In this season I have been writing as much down as possible, taking photos, saving posts, documenting anything that the Lord has used to speak to me. I was trying to get a photo of the oven as to not miss any bit of revelation, what do you think?
Beauty from Brokeness
Bethany has described this page as beauty from ashes. Well, here is a beautiful example of God lovingly showing how He takes brokeness and makes it beautiful.
The Greatest Gift
I started writing this blog before Christmas and at the time really didn't realize how many lessons from the Lord would be revealed to me in this season...
It's a Good New Year
Hey Friends! I hope you are enjoying the Crazy Big Sale today in the store. And just to ease some of your minds...

Fall Window Reveal
So.Much.More.
I couldn't resist putting this post from Bethany on the blog. I feel her words. I, too, am so very grateful. We all needed the excitement and busyness of this day.
The window reveal was my new year's resolution. Something I had wanted to do since our last full remodel, I think in 2016...
Letting Go of the Old and Embracing Newness!
The Day I Realized I Deleted My Entire Blog Site!
So today I sat down to write a blog post. It has been a couple of crazy days and I needed an outlet for everything spinning around in my head! I typed in my site address and got ready to let it all out and there was nothing! No site, no blog posts, NOTHING! What on earth! Where did it all go?!?!?!?
